Axel Widerstrom photographs of Alaska Packers Association ships, 1919-1921.

Cellulose nitrate film negatives of the Alaska Packers Association ships Star of France and Star of Holland from 1919 to 1921, taken by Capt. John Widerstrom's son, Axel, while he working aboard the ships from the age of 16 to 19. Many of the negatives were duplicated and cataloged under the San Francisco Maritime Museum's classified photograph collection.
